Ansuz Alone Again
Ansuz could not wait to tell everyone about the great race.
The young starlight wandered the dark forest, wondering where all the other forest faeries could be. The night was mostly still, with an occasional breeze blowing through the trees. It grew quite lonely.
Eventually, Ansuz spotted the pine tree with the hole in its base. But no one was around. The few animals Ansuz saw were busily working to find food.
So Ansuz waited for the other forest faeries to arrive.
Hours passed by, though, and finally it was time to hide in the hollow for the day. Disappointed, Ansuz hovered into the hiding spot and waited for daylight. |
